The House and Its Story
Story tells that once upon a time the house at 195 Cedar Street was The Oyster Inn, where oyster fisherman stayed to dig in nearby (where else?) Oyster Pond. Owned by two sisters, it was later separated many, many years ago into two private homes.
Retiring and moving from Mt. Kisco, NY thirty years ago, my parents purchase the house. I inherited it in 2008, doing major renovations since then. Most significant is the new, thoroughly modern -- but consistant with the historic Greek Revival architecture -- kitchen.

My house, now available to you for rental as your vacation home away from home, has a breakfast nook, large dining room, large living room, and five bedrooms (two with queen beds, one with two single beds, and two with one single bed) sleeping eight persons. There are two bathrooms, one on each floor.
The brick patio in the front is ideal for breakfast coffee, especially to watch the passing parade of walkers, joggers, and cyclists. The patio in the back, under the Japanese cherry tree, lends itself to barbeque and evening refreshment. The door to the garage yields badminton and croquet sets to set up in the large back yard.
